I get it, but.
The game was well executed in mechanics. The music was nice and the world really did feel as though it was on your shoulders. After failing, That's the ONE CHANCE YOU HAD. If you failed, that's it, you FAILED. There is no second chance in life, so why should there be in a game called ONE CHANCE? It's telling you that everything counts and now you're sitting at the computer playing a game. This may have been the one chance you had to do something meaningful today or even the rest of your life as you now it.
But damnit, as cool as that is ( being an art game ) I want to save my damn daughter with the help of a handy replay button V_V
